For deliciously mellow smoky flavours, get this Mellow & Fruity Boxed Chips bundle of three popular medium strength flavours from our boxed smoking chips range. The set includes Apple, Cherry and Maple perfect for adding a mellow smoke flavour to pork, lamb, chicken and vegetables.
Each individual box contains 400g of chips. It also includes recipe ideas, practical “how to” information, and useful tips and techniques. We pack the boxed chips into a dedicated gift box.
The chips are 6 to 10mm in size and ideal for use in a regular BBQ, smoker or any grill with a lid and ventilation. Add to white hot coals or protect in a smoker box. As they heat up, the chips release aromatic flavours and infuse your food with a lovely smoky taste. Can also be used in a gas BBQ.
Flavour Profiles in the Mellow & Fruity Boxed Chips Pack
Included in our Mellow Fruity chips bundle are the following flavours for a subtle flavour infusion across a wide range of different outdoor cooking projects:
- Apple – a robust fruitwood with a sweet, rich and dense smoke flavour for chicken, pork, red meats and vegetables. The on pack details include a recipe for Whole Hot Smoked Chicken
- Cherry – a well balanced, rich and slightly sweet fruitwood for lamb, game, poultry and vegetables. The on pack recipe is for Moroccan Butterflied Lamb
- Maple – a mellow smoke flavour with a sweetish edge, perfect for pork, chicken, fish and vegetables. Try out a classic Sticky Pork Ribs recipe from the on pack information.
This combination makes a great gift for the adventurous outdoor cook, or team with our Hot Smoked Smoker Box or other flavours from our smoking chips range including Beech, Alder, Hickory, Oak and Whisky Barrel.
The outer box measures H 205 x W 370 x D 70 mm and each smoking chip pack size is H 200 x W 120 x D 65 mm. The total weight of chips is around 1.2kg giving you enough smoking chips for at least a dozen smoking projects.
Our wood chips are 100% natural hardwood or fruitwood, sourced sustainably from managed woodlands and produced specifically for food use. The cardboard packaging is fully recyclable.
Store in a cool dry place and your wood chips will be great for smoking for at least 2 years.
