    ProSmoke BBQ FAQs

    Delivery, Shipping & Collection

    How much does delivery cost?

Accessory delivery is calculated at checkout; big items show costs on the product page.
Smaller orders are priced by weight and location. Larger BBQs and smokers often include pallet delivery or clearly display the charge, and mainland UK orders may qualify for free delivery once you hit our minimum spend.

How long does delivery take for BBQs, smokers and accessories?

Most in-stock orders ship the same day for delivery in 24–48 hours.
Orders placed before 2pm usually leave us the same working day for mainland UK. Pallet and special-order items can take a little longer and may need a pre-booked delivery date; tracking is sent by email or text once dispatched.

Do you offer Click & Collect from the Banbury showroom?

Yes, Click & Collect is available from our Banbury superstore.
Many items can be reserved online and collected from 8 Penhill Industrial Park, Beaumont Road, Banbury, OX16 1RW. We’ll email you when it’s ready and let you know what ID to bring.

    Payments & Finance

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major cards, PayPal and other secure methods shown at checkout.
All payments are processed via trusted, encrypted providers for your security.

Do you offer finance or pay-over-time options?

Yes, finance and pay-over-time options are available on eligible orders.
You’ll see PayPal Finance and any other current finance choices at checkout and on our payments/finance information page.

Do you offer a price match?

We don’t offer price matching, as our service is built around a higher level of expertise and customization than standard options. Our pricing reflects the value and results we aim to deliver, rather than direct comparisons with other providers.

    ProSmoke Support & Contact

What is ProSmoke’s "Platinum Customer Support"?

It’s our promise not to “sell and forget” you.
We act as your direct line to the manufacturer, handling troubleshooting and replacement parts so you don’t have to chase different companies – you just get back to cooking faster.

How can I contact ProSmoke BBQ if I still have questions?

Call, email or use our contact form.
You can reach us on 01295 981 580, email sales@prosmokebbq.co.uk, or send a message via the website. In peak BBQ season we try to respond as quickly as possible, even outside normal hours.

    Returns & Warranty

What is your return policy for BBQs, smokers and accessories?

Unused items can usually be returned within 28 days; built or used BBQs can’t.
Most new, unused products in original packaging are returnable within 28 days with proof of purchase. Assembled or used BBQs and smokers can only be returned if there’s a warranty issue. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Can I return a BBQ or smoker after I have built it?

Generally no, unless there is a fault.
Once a BBQ or smoker is assembled it can’t be sold as new, so “change of mind” returns aren’t possible. If you find a problem during assembly, stop and contact us so we can arrange parts or a warranty solution.

What warranties do your BBQs and smokers come with?

Warranty length varies by brand and model.
Many premium grills include multi-year cover on key components. Warranty details are shown on each product page, and we’re happy to help you compare options if you’re unsure.

    Cleaning & Maintenance

How often should I clean my BBQ or smoker?

Clean lightly after every cook and deep clean every few cooks.
After each cook, brush the grates while they’re still warm and empty the ash pan. Every 5–10 cooks, give the cook chamber a deeper clean to remove built-up grease and ash – this helps prevent flare-ups or “grease fires”, especially in pellet grills.

    Fuel, Wood & Flavour

What is the best wood for smoking meat in the UK?

Use kiln-dried hardwoods like Oak, Beech, Ash and fruit woods.
Oak is the “gold standard” for beef and brisket. Apple and Cherry are great for pork and poultry with a sweeter, milder smoke, and Hickory gives a stronger, classic American BBQ flavour.

What fuel should I use in my BBQ or smoker?

Always use food-grade charcoal, pellets and cooking woods.
Choose quality lumpwood or briquettes, hardwood pellets in pellet grills, and properly seasoned logs, chunks or chips for smokers. Avoid treated or painted wood and never burn household waste. We stock fuels specifically selected for BBQ cooking.

What gas bottle do I need?

For most gas BBQs we sell, you’ll need a propane “patio/leisure gas” bottle with a 27mm clip-on regulator (typically Calor or FloGas patio gas in the 5–11kg range, depending on the size of your grill).
Always match the bottle to the regulator type supplied with your BBQ, use the setup exactly as shown in the manual, and only operate gas BBQs outdoors in a well-ventilated space. If you’re unsure which bottle is right for a specific model, just contact us with the BBQ name and we’ll confirm the best option.

    Assembly & Build Services

Can you build and assemble my BBQ or smoker for me?

Yes, for many models we offer a paid Build & Deliver service.
Our team assembles, checks and test-fires your BBQ or smoker so it arrives ready to cook with no flat-pack hassle. Availability and pricing depend on your postcode and the model; details are on the Build & Deliver page.

Choosing the Right BBQ or Smoker

Which type of BBQ or smoker is right for me – charcoal, gas, pellet, offset or electric?

It depends how you like to cook and how hands-on you want to be.
Charcoal and wood give classic flavour, gas is quick and clean, pellet grills offer “set & forget” convenience with real wood smoke, offsets are for traditional low-and-slow cooking, and electric smokers work where live fire isn’t practical. Our team can match a fuel type to your style.

What size BBQ or smoker do I need for my family or guests?

Small grills suit 2–3 people; go bigger if you cook for 4+ or entertain often.
A compact grill is fine for couples, a 47–57 cm kettle or similar area suits most families, and larger families or frequent hosts will appreciate more cooking space or multi-level setups.

Which BBQ or smoker do you recommend for beginners?

Kettle BBQs, water smokers and pellet/smart grills are ideal for beginners.
Kettles are versatile and affordable, water smokers are designed for low-and-slow, and pellet or smart grills handle temperature control for you. If you already love managing a fire, we can also recommend an entry-level offset.

Do you stock spare parts, covers and accessories for my BBQ?

Yes, we keep a big range of parts and accessories for popular brands.
We stock covers, grates, baskets, thermometers and replacement parts. If you don’t see what you need, send us the brand, model and a photo and we’ll check with our suppliers.

Can you help me choose between two specific BBQ models?

Absolutely – we’re happy to compare models with you.
Contact us with the models you’re looking at, how many people you cook for and what you like to cook. We’ll explain the pros and cons and recommend the best fit, not just the highest price.
