If you prefer a distinctly smoky kick to your outdoor cooking then this bundle of Super Strong Boxed Chips flavours is for you! Included are Oak, Hickory and Whisky Barrel Oak each providing a rich, strong smoke flavour perfect for beef, lamb, turkey, salmon and mackerel.
Each individual box contains 400g of chips and also includes recipe ideas, “how to” information, and useful tips and techniques. We pack the boxed chips into a dedicated gift box.
The chips are 6 to 10mm in size and ideal for use in a regular BBQ, smoker or any grill with a lid and ventilation. Add to white hot coals or place above gas burners and protect in foil or a smoker box. As they heat up their aromatic flavours are released infusing lovely smoky flavours into your food.
Flavour Profiles in the Super Strong Boxed Chips Pack
Included in our Super Strong chips bundle are flavours that create a full-bodied smoke infusion. They work particularly well with robust meats and fish:
- Oak – a rich full smoke flavour for meats, chicken, fish and vegetables. Oak is uniquely versatile and works well across a wide range of different foods. The on pack details include the classic Spicy Beef Brisket recipe.
- Hickory – a robust yet mellow strong smoke flavour perfectly balanced for red meats, fish, pork and chicken. Try out some Hot Smoked Mackerel from the on pack information
- Whisky Barrel Oak – these smoking chips come from authentic Scottish Oak Whisky Barrels and are deeply infused with whisky. They deliver a double flavour that is perfect for meats, game, and salmon. The on pack recipe is for our BBQ Classics Sharing Platter.
This combination makes a great gift for the adventurous outdoor cook, or team with our Hot Smoked Smoker Box or other flavours from our smoking chips range including Apple, Cherry, Maple, Beech or Alder
The outer box measures H 205 x W 370 x D 70 mm and each smoking chip pack size is H 200 x W 120 x D 65 mm. The total weight of chips is around 1.2kg giving you enough smoking chips for at least a dozen smoking projects.
Our wood chips are 100% natural hardwood or fruitwood, sourced sustainably from managed woodlands and produced specifically for food use. The cardboard packaging is fully recyclable. Store in a cool dry place and your wood chips will be great for smoking for at least 2 years.
