Founded in 2019 by Oliver Giles, we operate one of the largest BBQ showrooms in the country from our base in Banbury, Oxfordshire, alongside a full online store serving customers across the UK and Europe. We are the UK's only Platinum Masterbuilt Gravity Series dealer, the UK's exclusive importer of American offset smokers from builders like Workhorse Pits and Franklin Barbecue, and an authorised retailer for brands including Big Green Egg, Gozney, PK Grills, Napoleon, Pit Boss, Weber and many more.
Meet the Founder
Oliver Giles — Founder & Managing Director
Oliver founded ProSmoke BBQ in 2019 after years of importing American BBQ equipment for his own use and discovering just how difficult it was to get quality smokers and grills in the UK. What began as a personal obsession with real fire cooking — tracking down hard-to-find offset smokers, experimenting with different fuel woods, and learning the craft of low-and-slow barbecue — turned into a mission to bring the best outdoor cooking equipment to British backyards.
A hands-on pitmaster who still personally tests products before they hit the shelves, Oliver has built direct relationships with manufacturers in the US and Europe. He led the relaunch of Cactus Jack in the UK, working with engineers to refine their offset smokers into true Texas-style pits. He brought PK Grills to Europe for the first time. And he negotiated the Platinum Masterbuilt partnership that gives ProSmoke customers direct warranty and support — something no other UK dealer offers.
Our Story
ProSmoke BBQ was born from a genuine frustration: why was it so hard to buy a proper BBQ smoker in the UK? While American backyards were filled with offset smokers, gravity-fed charcoal grills and heavy-duty pits, British BBQ enthusiasts had limited options and even less expert support.
Oliver Giles set out to change that. Starting in 2019, he began building direct relationships with manufacturers in the US and introducing equipment that UK customers simply couldn't get elsewhere. But ProSmoke was never just about importing products — it was about raising the standard for how BBQ equipment is sold and supported in this country. We introduced our Platinum Customer Support model — a first for the UK BBQ industry. Instead of selling you a grill and pointing you back to the manufacturer when something goes wrong, we handle support directly. Our staff are trained on the equipment we sell, we stock spare parts, and we aim to minimise downtime because we know how short British summers are.
From a small online operation, ProSmoke has grown into one of the UK's most trusted BBQ retailers, with a purpose-built showroom in Banbury where customers can see, touch, and compare equipment side by side — something that's still surprisingly rare in this industry.
Key Milestones
2019 — ProSmoke BBQ founded by Oliver Giles, initially focused on importing American BBQ equipment and accessories to the UK.
2020 — Became the first UK dealer to stock the Masterbuilt 560. Played a key role in relaunching Cactus Jack UK, working with engineers to redesign their offset smokers for true Texas-style performance. Cactus Jack is now Europe's leading offset smoker brand.
2021 — Launched PK Grills in the UK and across Europe, including the PK Original and PKGO, through ProSmoke and a network of sub-dealers. PK Grills had no UK presence before ProSmoke brought them over. 2022 — ProSmoke BBQ Ltd officially incorporated (Company No. 14303838). Continued expanding the brand portfolio and growing the online customer base.
2023–2024 — Opened the purpose-built BBQ showroom in Banbury, Oxfordshire — one of the largest specialist BBQ showrooms in the UK. Became the UK's only Platinum Masterbuilt Gravity Series dealer. Launched BBQ classes programme.
2025 — Expanded brand offering with new premium partnerships including Workhorse Pits, Franklin Barbecue, Tagwood, and SNS Grills. Continued showroom expansion with plans to become one of the most immersive BBQ destinations in the UK.
2026 — Ongoing expansion. BBQ classes programme growing with Texas BBQ masterclasses, pizza workshops and seasonal specials. Surpassed 400 five-star Trustpilot reviews.

ProSmoke didn't just enter the market; we helped build it. We relaunched Cactus Jack as a serious offset smoker brand. We brought PK Grills to Europe for the first time. We were the first UK dealer to stock the Masterbuilt 560. We're the UK's only importer of Workhorse Pits and Franklin Barbecue equipment.
