Cast iron cooking was originally something you did while camping over an open fire.
This robust cast iron pot can withstand the open flame and will not warp in any way, meaning you can place it directly on burnt-down log embers when they are at their hottest.
We use them on our Cactus Jack offset smokers, which are designed to hang these pots directly over the fire, this way you can utilise your fire for direct cast iron cooking, while you slow roast in the main chamber.
Our smokers do not require you to shut the top lid of the firebox to slow cook, they will draft easily while it's open.
For this you will need our Cactus Jack pot hanger arm, this will connect easily into the sleeve found on your firebox.
The arm also comes with a handy height adjuster.
