Heat Deflector/ Airgap Mod | Pit Boss Grills Modification
This mod is essential if you have a thousand-inch barrel or if you have any of the Pit Boss models we have listed here.
- Allows your controller temperature probe / RTD probe to read the actual barrel temps instead of the heat/air blowing up from fire pot underneath the main broiler plate directly onto your probe.
- Less temperature swings - this means better, easier cooks.
- Reduces fly ash throughout barrel.
Includes 1 PATENTED STAINLESS-STEEL MODIFICATION and 2 SELF-TAPPING SCREWS.
Once the MOD IS INSTALLED:
- Your controller/temperature probe will read actual barrel temperatures instead of reading the air directly from the fire pot. This means less temperature swings.
- Improved grate temperatures from left to right.
- Less fly ash/ pellet dust.
