I'm in love.

I've been an avid smoker for several years, had the same ProQ Vertical smoker for that time and it served me well but I always wanted to upgrade to a proper offset smoker one day, but for a really good one they are incredibly expensive.
So, colour me surprised when this absolute unit popped up in my searches, a heavy duty smoker with a hull thicker than some military vehicles, and for a very reasonable price.

After some interesting logistics getting this chonk into our yard - this thing arrives as one unit, more or less, so you'll be glad it has wheels - we set to getting it set up.
Seasoning the unit is straight forward enough, set fire to it.

Since it has arrived we've had many cooks on it both using it as a conventional BBQ and as a smoker, it retains the heat incredibly well which also makes regulating the temperature easier though it does get some getting use to if you don't have previous off-set smoker experince.

The cook is perfect with great heat distribution resulting in even cooking from either end of the main drum.

The size is perfect for our use and has been used to serve 6 people with plenty of leftovers.

The build quality, performance, and results of this unit are amazing, I would strongly recommend it to anyone who wishes to upgrade to an off-set smoker, it will serve you well for a very long time.

Whether you’re quickly grilling a couple of fillet steaks directly over hot coals, cold smoking a salmon for Christmas canapés or slow cooking a shoulder of Cotswold lamb for Sunday lunch, this sturdy side smoker will continue to earn it’s keep over and over again for the rest of your days.
The baffle plate is key to its versatility - tight to the fire for low and slow, or slide it across to sear. Combined with the vents in the fire door and a choke on the chimney you have all the control you need to master the fine art of barbecue.
Olly only sells really, really nice kit and trains his guys to deliver first rate personalised service, if you take their advice, you cannot lose.
