This is Surfy's Cure #1 - Prague Powder #1 or Instacure #1.  A mixture of kosher sea salt (93.75%) and Sodium Nitrite (6.25%) with NO anti-caking agents. Often referred to as PINK salt it should NOT be confused with Himalayan salt. Our Prague powders contain NO anti-caking agents.



Important Notes for Surfy's Cure #1 - Prague Powder #1:

  • Use this cure only to make cured meats that you will cook after curing, i.e. bacon, ham, cured fresh sausage, etc.
  • Weighing this cure accurately is a MUST (Scales measuring 0.1g recommended)
  • Use it according to any recipe that specifies Cure #1 or Prague Powder Number One.
  • Usually 2.5g per KG of meat in a dry cure, or 7.5g per liter in a brine.
  • Prague Powder is a safe and effective curing agent if used correctly, however, it is a CONCENTRATED curing salt and MUST be mixed with additional salt.

  • We recommend our Pre-mixed Curing Salt for beginners or if you do not have accurate scales.
  • Please Note, NO recipes are provided with this product.

Small Items Shipping
Items other than BBQ's, grills and smokers are all shipped via DPD local on 24-hour delivery. We aim to dispatch these items the next working day after they are placed on the website. 
You will receive a tracking link when they leave us. 
Delivery is between 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

Smokers, BBQ's & Grills
These items are shipped via pallet network on a 24-48 hour service.
We will always make contact prior to shipping, as someone will need to be in to receive these items. Our team will call via phone on the following day of ordering.  If all information is gathered prior to 12pm midday, the item will ship that same day for delivery on the next working day.
Note: this excludes Cactus Jack smokers, as due to their size and logistics involved, we require an extra 2 days of processing.
Delivery costs for these items are detailed on the product page and at checkout.  Note: surcharges do apply to Northern Ireland, offshore addresses and Scottish highlands.

All prices include VAT. Purchases outside the UK can request an invoice excluding VAT (excluding Northern Ireland), but VAT will be charged on the shipping.
